Kennedy Meadows

The way from Walker Pass to Kennedy meadows was quite nice. Look like you are leaving the desert slowly slowly. There are mountains but still is difficult to find water. I have in this area some spectacular sun set and sun rise.

There was a mountain before Kennedy meadows I knew it was the last mountain of the desert. I climb full power by 15.00 I think I have already 20 miles . In the top there was not a trees, everything burnt. I reached the summit I saw for first time the high sierras, granite mountains with snowy peaks. Down the valley a river full of green around. hahahhahhah  . Desert I beat you!!!!!!

I had to stop for a nap in the way down, between some rocks. wow  everything green with a river....Finally I did 25 miles maybe my record . I was really exhaust and I could sleep much. Next day I reach Kennedy Meadows and everybody clapping! desert is gone. I chill there for one day. Papaya arrived little later we went to a nearest restaurant in the back of a pick up....

I got the bear canister form Toms place ( cool place ) Thanks everybody involve in the bear canister program!. For the people that doesn't what is that, a bear canister is to protect your food from bear. It is quite heavy....everybody hate it but is mandatory in some national parks.

I got my new shoes . I moved from Brooks Glicerine to Cascadia. It is more a trail shoes, It is the most popular in the trail. I picked up also rain pants and rain I got my tent rain cove and 7 days of food. I went through all my gear, clean down and fixing things. I was ready for the Sierras.
